YOUTH PROGRAMS
At Our Community Bikes, we view bicycles as the perfect tool to educate young people about the environment, problem solving, DIY, as well as their health and well-being. We engage youth in bike mechanic training, cycling skills and community building in order to encourage the next generation of bicycle users.
Youth Bike Club
Youth Bike Club (Grades 8-12) is our free drop-in bicycle mechanics program aimed at getting more youth riding by removing barriers! Got a passion for biking? Into mechanics? Want to gain leadership skills and volunteer hours? Come down Tuesday 4-6pm at Our Community Bikes. We'll teach you how to break down busted bikes and build 'em up. Discover new routes and snack spots while exploring the city on bikes during our group rides. Plus your 10% discount turns into a membership with additional perks once you hit 20 hours of volunteering.
